BETTA FLO 4P25 - ONE HORSEPOWER 3 WIRE PUMP SPECS:
Note - on table below (NR) - means Not Recommended because of inadequate backpressure on pump. Recommended applications are highlighted in yellow. All submersible pumps need 30 lbs psi minimum back pressure, regardless of brand name. Less back pressure means shorter pump life.
Yellow shaded areas are within recommended operating pressures and water lift parameters for pump.
This pump is recommended for total water lift of 20 - 480 feet and operating pressure of 30-65 lbs psi.
To use the table below: find your total lift (left column) than follow row over to the gallon per minute you need and you will see the resulting operating pressure at top of that column. For irrigation, pressure below 40 lbs psi may be unacceptable; 50 - 60 lbs psi recommended. Selecting a higher horsepower pump will provide a higher operating pressure for the same GPM as a lower horsepower pump.

Lift - means Total Lift from water level in your well or pond vertically straight up to a point level with highest point of water usage, such as the highest sprinkler head or a second floor shower head. This is how far the pump is being asked to lift your water.
- Stainless steel discharge and liquid-end coupler.
- Anti-up-thrust set screw prevents impeller drag at startup and low head application, results are increased pump life and liquid end longevity.
- Extra large graphite-impregnated bronze bearing runs cool and quiet while providing perfect shaft alignment for less wear-causing vibration.
- Stainless steel tubing provide corrosion resistance and long life.
- Stainless steel cable guard protects motor leads during installation and pump start-up.
- Impellers are made of abrasive resistant high strength glass-filled noryl.
- High efficiency noryl diffusers provide for larger O.D. impellers.
- Pump shaft in 7/16" hex series 400 stainless steel.
- Stainless steel suction screen, completely non-corrosive, protects pumping elements from harmful materials and increases impeller and pump life.
- Motor coupling is a one piece sintered stainless powdered metal part. Then 7/16 hex shaft is locked in with a screw and with lock-tite applied to the threads.
- One piece motor bracket and suction are supplied in stainless steel.
- Check valve supplied on all pumps.
- Screw, nuts and washers are stainless steel.
- Motors on Betta Flo pumps continue to be the industry benchmark Franklin Electric, considered to be the best pump motor on the market, while many competitors have gone to lesser quality motors in efforts to cut production cost.
- Overall, the very popular professional grade Betta Flo pump line has a well earned reputation for quality and performance stretching back to the days of the legendary Blue Max pumps. Betta Flo pumps by National Pump have proven that performance and quality can also be coupled with a cost-effective price.
