This Indoor ESP-LXMI Modular Controller is an 8 Station Modular Indoor (expandable) controller with plug-in transformer and is a direct replacement for the discontinued ESP-LX Series controllers. Photo shows controller and also a plug-in expansion module. The Rainbird ESPLXMSM4 and ESPLXMSM8 4 and 8 station Expansion Modules will quickly and easily plug into the interior of the controller.
This ESP-LXMI Modular 8-32 Station Model includes the basic 8 station ESP-LXMI Modular Controller capable of controlling up to 8 stations as purchased. Further expansion is possible up to a total of 32 stations by purchase (on pull-down menu or seperately later) of additional 4 station or 8 station expansion modules.
Example; if you want to control 20 stations, you would choose one additional 4 station expansion module and one additional 8 station expansion module. This would give you capability to control up to 20 stations. 8 in the base unit + one 4 module + one 8 module = 20 stations.
This controller will control up to 8 stations as delivered unless optional expansion modules are purchased from pull-down menu to increase capacity.
Our comment from Lubee's is this is one heck of a controller. It has features such as the Programmable Valve Delay between watering station activation that is exceptional. Rainbird has taken advantage of the design, dependability and popularity of their well established ESP-LX series to produce a next generation controller with an impressive list of new features. Just when we thought Hunter had the large controller market advantage with their ICC Modular, Rainbird markets another winner!

- Non-volatile program memory (100 year life) maintains user's program during a power outage independent of the battery back-up.
