Drawdown (before pump kicks on) is 1.7 gallons with a 20-40 pressure switch, 1.4 gallons with a 30-50 pressure switch and 1.2 gallons with a 40-60 pressure switch.
The PJR15 tank is equivilent in performance to a 12 gallon galvanized (non-bladder) tank, and has an actual tank water volume of 4.5 gallons.
The PJR15 tank has a factory pressure charge of 28 lbs psi. Regardless of what tank brand or size you install, your tank bladder pressure must be adjusted to your pressure switch situation at time of tank installation in order for your well system to operate correctly. Our patented controlled action, double diaphragm assembly completely contains drawdown water.The water chamber does not chafe on the tank wall.This unique diaphragm design is constructed with an FDA approved, high-grade butyl rubber compound. NSF certifies Well-Rite tanks as conforming to standard 61 for drinking water system components.The CAD system is anchored by our stainless steel water connection which is totally lead free, and NSF approved for the highest sanitary standard. A full flow stainless steel port diffuser directs water flow upward and outward while firmly locking the lower diaphragm in place.
