This is an excellent new product from Maxijet - A groove type spraying pot stake designed with container plants in mind. To say this is a long awaited product would be an understatement. On my own patio, we have many plants watered by drip mist that are going to be so much happier getting a delicate mist spray on leaves, as well as adequate water for optimum growth and appearance.
These 7 inch length Maxijet Groove Type Spraying Pot Stakes have a 160 degree down spray pattern and come in four different water outputs - Rust Pot Spray Stake is 4.2 GPH or Gallons Per Hour, the Lime Green Pot Spray Stake is 6.6 GPH, the Green Pot Spray Stake is 11.4 GPH, and the Black Pot Spray Stake is 15.0 GPH for larger plants and containers. The varying spray nozzle sizes allow you to vary the amount of spray and water received by each plant on the same drip-mist watering circuit.
*What makes the "groove" stake different and unique is the fact the stake has a groove intake rather than the standard interior tube running through the tubing attachment riser. This means the entire water flow area in the stake from tubing attachment point to water dispersal point is open and visible for quick and easy cleaning simply by pulling the tubing off the riser.
The Pot Spraying Stake comes with a molded-in shut-off arm, which allows you to take the feeding line off the active stake feeder terminal and place it on the shut-off arm, which acts as a shut-off plug. This allows you to quickly and easily deactivate one plant stake without taking any other stakes off-line.
Important - any time you get involved with a spray type drip mist application, an effective filter of 200 mesh is absolutely essential to prevent clogging. Once clogged, it is time consuming to unclog the groove on each and every stake. So make sure you install a 200 mesh filter before attempting usage of any spray type drip mist equipment, even when using groove stakes.
